The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It invests in bonds issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government or its agencies or instrumentalities, government and private mortgage-related securities, corporate bonds, municipal bonds, bonds of foreign governments and companies, asset-backed securities, and inflation-indexed securities. The fund was formerly known as Dreyfus Ultra Short Income Fund. BNY Mellon Ultra Short Income Fund was formed on September 19, 1986 and is domiciled in the United States.
