This segment also offers a range of services to assist customers in the drug discovery and development process, which include genetically engineered models and services, insourcing solutions, discovery research services, research animal diagnostic services, endotoxin and microbial detection products and services, and avian vaccine products and services. The PCS segment provides preclinical services, including both in vivo and in vitro studies, supportive laboratory services, and strategic preclinical consulting and program management to support product development. This segment offers services in the areas of bioanalysis, pharmacokinetics, and drug metabolism; toxicology; and pathology services, as well as testing of biologics and devices frequently outsourced by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The company serves pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, government agencies, hospitals, and academic institutions worldwide.
