This division serves blood donation centers, clinical analysis laboratories, and hospital immunohematology services. The Hospital division manufactures and installs products used by and in hospitals comprising parenteral solutions, and enteral and parenteral nutritional fluids. The Raw Materials and Others division engages in the sale of intermediate pastes and plasma to third parties. The company's products and services are used by healthcare providers to diagnose and treat patients with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, infectious diseases, and a range of other medical conditions. The company was formerly known as Probitas Pharma, S.A. and changed its name to Grifols, S.A. in 2005. Grifols, S.A. was founded in 1940 and is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain.
