Further, the company offers hardware products and related driver software, such as data acquisition, PXI chassis and controllers, image acquisition, motion control, distributed I/O, modular instruments and embedded control hardware/software, industrial communications interfaces, general purpose interface bus interfaces, and VME extension for instrumentation controllers. Additionally, it provides NI education platform consisting of software, hardware, and courseware for students; software and hardware products for teaching; hardware and software maintenance services; and training classes and self-paced online training for its software and hardware products. The company sells its software and hardware products primarily through a direct sales organization, independent distributors, OEMs, VARs, system integrators, and consultants. National Instruments Corporation was founded in 1976 and is based in Austin, Texas.
