This segment distributes its products through wholesale, retail, and bulk channels, as well as exports refined products. The Natural Gas and Oil Operations segment, through its interests in Piceance Energy, LLC, focuses on producing natural gas in Garfield and Mesa Counties, Colorado; and owns non-operating interests in Colorado and offshore California, and an overriding royalty interest in New Mexico. The Commodity Marketing and Logistics segment focuses on sourcing, transporting, marketing, and distributing crude oil from Canada and the Western United States to refining hubs in the Midwest, Gulf Coast, and East Coast regions of the United States. The company was formerly known as Delta Petroleum Corporation and changed its name to Par Petroleum Corporation in August 2012. Par Petroleum Corporation was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
