This segment also engages in the operation of biologics business. The Proprietary Products segment engages in the discovery and development of new chemical entities for subsequent commercialization and out-licensing. It offers new, synergistic combination, and technology formulations that modifies pharmacokinetics of existing medicines. This segment is also involved in the Company's specialty pharmaceuticals business that includes sales and marketing operations for in-licensed and co-developed dermatology. The company offers its products and services primarily in the areas of gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, pain management, and oncology therapies. It primarily operates in India, the United States, Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union, Europe, and others. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Hyderabad, India.
