In addition, it is developing materials for thermoelectric and systems of waste heat recovery and electrical power generation for the automotive market that also have applications for consumer products, as well as industrial and technology markets. The company was formerly known as Amerigon Inc. and changed its name to Gentherm Incorporated in September 2012. Gentherm Incorporated was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Northville, Michigan.
