Description: ABF Hong Kong Bond Index Fund is an exchange traded fund launched by HSBC Investment Funds (Hong Kong) Limited. It is managed by HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Ltd. It invests in the fixed income markets of Hong Kong. The fund invests in the fixed-rate, HK Dollar denominated debt obligations issued or guaranteed by the government, or by an agency or instrumentality, or by a sponsored entity or a quasi government, or by supranational financial institutions with a maturity of more than 18 months. It invests in the investment grade securities which are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 and above by Moody's. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Markit iBoxx ABF Hong Kong Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. ABF Hong Kong Bond Index Fund was formed on June 10, 2005 and is domiciled in Hong Kong.
