Description: ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited is a South Africa-based steel producer. The Company has a production capacity of 6.5 million tons of liquid steel per year. It supplies over 60% of the steel used in South Africa and exports to sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere. It operates in four segments: Flat steel products, which consists of the Vanderbijlpark Works, Saldanha Works and ArcelorMittal South Africa Distribution; Long steel products, which consists of the Newcastle Works, Vereeniging Works and decommissioned Maputo Works; Coke and Chemicals, which undertakes the processing and marketing of by-products and the production and marketing of commercial-grade coking coal, and Corporate and Other, which includes housing sales and marketing functions, procurement and logistics activities, shared services, centers of excellence, the decommissioned Pretoria Works site, available-for-sale investments and the results of the non-trading consolidated subsidiaries and special purpose entities.
