Description: City of London Group plc (COLG) is a closed-ended investment company with investments in the financial services sector and a portfolio of available-for-sale investments. The investment objective of the Company is to achieve total returns for shareholders in excess of 8% per annum, measured on a five-year rolling basis. The Company is focused on providing finance to the small and medium enterprises (SME) sector, including professional service firms. It is managed through its operating platforms: lease and professions financing, trade financing and legal case funding. Its COLG segment includes the Company's central functions and an investment portfolio. Its investments are companies in financial services sectors where major national and foreign banks have limited new lending to these borrowers. Its investee companies operate two product platforms namely Trade Finance Partners Limited (TFPL), a trade finance provider to the SME market, and Credit Asset Management Limited (CAML).
