Description: Essentra plc manufactures and sells specialist plastic, fiber, foam, and packaging products worldwide. It operates through four divisions: Component, Packaging, Filter Products, and Specialist Components. The Component division offers plastic injection molded, vinyl dip-molded, and metal items for equipment manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, electronics, and construction industries; and component solutions for protection and finishing purposes. The Packaging division provides cartons, leaflets, self-adhesive labels, and printed foils for use in blister packs; and packaging and authentication solutions to the health and personal care, consumer, specialist packaging sectors, as well as to the paper and board industries. The Filter Products division offers filters and packaging solutions to the roll-your-own segments; analytical laboratory services for ingredient measurement; and e-cigarette and heat not burn solutions for next generation products. The Specialist Components division engages in custom profile extrusion activities; and the manufacture of high performance products, such as commodity resins, engineering-grade thermoplastics, and polymer alloys for use in the oil and gas industry; and the provision of adhesive coated products to various industries, such as point of purchase display, exhibit, printing, plastic fabrication, appliance, and education, as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industries. This division also offers pressure-sensitive tear tapes for the tobacco, food and drink, and specialist packaging sectors; branded hardware supplies to industrial customers; and ID card printers, systems, and accessories to direct and trade customers. Essentra plc is also involved in treasury, property, services, and leasing businesses. The company was formerly known as Filtrona plc and changed its name to Essentra plc in June 2013. Essentra plc was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Milton Keynes, the United Kingdom.
