As of December 31, 2012, it served approximately 16.5 million mobile subscribers; approximately 8 million fixed broadband Internet subscribers; and approximately 4.0 million IP-TV subscribers. The company was formerly known as Korea Telecom Corp. and changed its name to KT Corporation in March 2002. KT Corporation was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Sungnam, South Korea.
