Description: Original Sixteen to One Mine, Inc. is an exploration-state mining company. The Company mines gold on properties, which it owns in fee simple or on which it has claims in the Alleghany Mining District, approximately 65 miles northeast of the intersection of I-80 and California State Route 49. It operates the Sixteen to One mine, which is a hard rock underground mine. Its inventory consists of gold bullion, specimens and jewelry. The Company's operations are characterized by preparation, tunneling, underground property maintenance and upgrading. The Company uses metal detection technology, which enables exploration to detect gold from 0 to 48 inches from quartz faces in the wall rock. It also works with others interested in developing new technologies for deeper penetration. Its projects include sinking a new shaft in the center of the property, and building and testing a gold detector specifically designed for the Sixteen to One vein and dewatering the levels that were left to flood.
