Description: PacWest Bancorp operates as the bank holding company for Pacific Western Bank that provides commercial banking products and services to small to medium sized businesses, and the owners and employees of those businesses primarily in Southern California. It accepts demand, money market, and time deposits. The company also originates loans, including commercial loans, which consist of loans to provide working capital or for specific purposes, such as to finance the purchase of assets, equipment, or inventory; real estate construction and miniperm loans; SBA loans comprising business loans and loans collateralized by commercial real estate; and consumer loans, as well as originates equipment finance leases and provides other business-oriented products. In addition, it offers international banking, multi-state deposit, and investment services; telephone and online banking services; foreign exchange services; and remote deposit capture services, as well as issues automated teller machine and debit cards. As of December 31, 2012, PacWest Bancorp operated 82 branches. The company was formerly known as First Community Bancorp and changed its name to PacWest Bancorp in April 2008. PacWest Bancorp was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
