Description: Scientific Industries, Inc. is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of a range of benchtop laboratory equipment, bioprocessing products and catalyst research instruments. The Company operates through three segments: the manufacture and marketing of standard benchtop laboratory equipment for research in university, hospital and industrial laboratories sold primarily through laboratory equipment distributors and laboratory and pharmacy balances and scales (Benchtop Laboratory Equipment Operations); the manufacture and marketing of custom-made catalyst research instruments for universities, government laboratories, and chemical and petrochemical companies sold on a direct basis (Catalyst Research Instruments Operations), and the design and marketing of bioprocessing systems and products and related royalty income (Bioprocessing Systems). It is also engaged in the sublicensing of bioprocessing systems and products.
