Description: The aim is for the investment to reflect the performance of the MSCI EMU Index (Index) which is designed to reflect the performance of the stock markets of 10 countries within the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), namely, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. A company’s weighting in the Index depends on the relative size of the stock market on which it is traded. The Index is calculated on a total return net basis which means that all dividends and distributions by the companies are reinvested in the shares after tax. The Fund will attempt to replicate the Index by buying all (or, on an exceptional basis, a substantial number of) the constituents of the Index in the same proportion as in the Index as determined by the Sub-Portfolio Manager of the Fund which is Deutsche Asset Management (UK) Limited. The Fund may employ techniques and instruments in order to manage risk, reduce costs and improve results.
